- SEASON 5 CAME OUT YES BABY!!!
(This review will mainly focus on the 5th season of Stranger Things because I'm lazy ok bye.)
- How do I even start, if you didn't know, Stranger Things has released more than half of its final season!! The first four episodes were released on Nov. 26 and the next three episodes were released on Christmas! And guess what, the grand final episode will be released on Dec. 31 (actually I have to wait until Jan. 1 to see it because of timezone but who cares)
- The Wheelers are crazy this season, especially - you know who - Holly and Karen. They were really just, side characters, on the previous seasons... but in this season they shine!!! We got to see how brave Karen is when her children are in danger, and how smart Holly is too!! Seriously Wheeler women are something else
- I LOVE this season's Robin. She is always having a job with Steve lol we love that, this time she became Rockin' Robin. Robin is so supportive this this season, I love the scene when she and Will escape from Joyce's plan together and talk about personal stuffs mid-way. Being around her is just so comfortable lol. Also sometimes she just got too carried away with saving the world so she cant go on dates with her girlfriend and when she tried to explain, the girl just thought she was high LMAO.
-This season's outfit choices are also top-tier. I LOVE Holly, Robin and Mr Whatsit's clothes so much. Just take a look and you'll understand what I mean.
- Well beside that, Will FINALLY came out !! So proud of my boy. Will decided to tell people this so Vecna has nothing else to scare him, and also to clean the negative feelings he kept in his closet after all these years. But people's reactions are a bit..negative?? Ahem alright I heard many many arguments about how "cringe" and "unecessary" this scene is but come on it's not even that bad, it's actually important AND this is the 80s. The 7th episode of this season somehow got a super low rating (about 5.6 - 5.8 stars last time I checked). This was kind of unexpected for me but you know what Will, you did your best and you are really brave. This episode deserves better man.
- I also expected Eleven and Max's reunion to be longer but seems like that didn't happen though..awh man.
- Whoops I forgot to talk about Mr Whatsit aka Vecna aka Henry aka 001 aka WHATEVER you go by, but oh my god I love him. I love his outfit this season as Mr. Whatsapp, uh I MEAN Mr. Whatsit... Sorry Jamie is just gorgeous ok. Also his Vecna version got a remake to and i also love it, it's like bro worked out everyday after the season 4 ending goodbye. Actually I still think that something in the Abyss world affected Henry so he became evil and also got his powers. I hope they will reveal more stories about him and his peers in the finale, especially the stage play.
- In my opision, this season did great because it answered a lot of questions and relationships from the previous seasons. I'm looking out for the finale!! Will update once I watch it teehee. PLEASE I NEED MORE HENRY AND ROBIN
(1/1/2026)
- Ok, I finally watched the finale.
- I never realised that Mike didn't go to the Upside Down in the previous seasons, coincides with his role in DnD as a story teller / dungeon master - who controls the whole game but usually stays out of it, I think that's a pretty cool detail. He also predicted the other character's roles: El can fly, Will is a socerer, Holly is a hero. Also the episodes are titled "Chapters", just like a book.
- Now for my thoughts on the finale!! I finally got to see more of Henry's backstory. He was a child too, a child that is a bit weird and didn't have a lot of people around to support him like Will. That's why with the intervene of the Mind Flayer, he became way too broken, and no one is there to help him. He is just lonely and helpless. The Mind Flayer broke him. But he chose to be like that, maybe because there is no other way for him, or maybe because his mind was far different from before and he can't do anything to change it anymore. "Leave me alone" is my favorite quote from him I think, Jamie did really good on potraying him, made him feel like a "human" for once. I also feel like he got killed too easily, but maybe that's because he accepted to be defeated, he accepted that there is nothing he can do. One slash from Joyce and there we go. Vecna is dead, Mind Flayer is gone, the town came back to normal. I absolutely love the parallels between Will and Henry. They are both the victim but Will chose to fight, Henry chose to join. One with the people he loves around and one with none. One with a happy ending and one with a sad ending.
- I also like how they potrayed Will and Mike's relationship in this episode. Mike knows Will likes him, but he can't reciprocate that feeling the same way. But he stayed for Will. "Friends? No.", "Best friends.". This scene made me realise how much Mike care for Will, even if that's not in the same romantic way that Will does. But the way he cares for Will is still special. He made sure not to make Will feel left out, he tried his best to be his best friend, and be there whenever he can. The scene where Mike was retelling the story was so heart-warming. The scene where Mike put his book next to Will and stare at them for a while really made me think about their relationship a lot, the love Mike gave Will is special in its own way.
- I also felt bad for Eleven. One day she came to this place, saved everyone, and just, simply, disappear again. All the memories, feelings, adventures, gone. The Duffers said that in order for the other characters to move on, she had to go. She can't stay, even in just one scenario. She left everyone she love there. Her dad, her boyfriend, her best friends. I like to think about it the way Mike does, maybe she actually escaped, maybe that was all just an illusion, maybe, she actually went to a beautiful place with three waterfalls, except Mike is not there. She had to go, in order to save everyone. A final sacrifice, a sacrifice that will be remembered by everyone she loves.
- Ok I'm noting this here because my brain may forget, but Steve became a coach and also a sex educator for kids. Lol He is a true babysitter now. Nancy dropped Emerson college to take a job, still strong and indepedent as always. Jonathan ended up being a filmmaker and right now he's making a film about anti-capitalism and... cannibalism. Also Robin attends at Smith College and broke up with Vicke, I don't know what happened but people break up all the time right? Also they are about to meet at Robin's weird uncle's house for some reasons. I love how Jonathan and Steve are close now, many things happened. Also the timeskip is 18 months, in case I forget.
- Hopper married Joyce at the restaurant they promised to go to and yay, that was sweet. Lucas and Max is super cute too.
- What else can I say? Can't say i'm fully satisfied with the ending, but they tried their best. This ending will still be a special part of my 2026, what a way to start a new year. I should write some theories about it someday, but I'm not even a good writer...
- Stranger Things will always have a special place in my heart, that's all guys I'm COPING. Also I will try to learn DnD but it might take a while.
